BIO International Convention
The Polish Union of Innovative Medical Biotech Companies BioInMed was the substantive partner of the national stand during the key industry event BIO International Convention, which took place on June 5-8, 2023. Thanks to the support of the Polish Trade and Investment Agency, over 35 Polish companies conducting R&D projects in the field of medical biotechnology and biopharmacy were able to present their competences and unique technologies and meet potential business partners. On June 5, the Polish Medical Biotech Day networking event was also held at the Aloft Boston Seaport Hotel, which was an affiliated event of the BIO International Convention, co-organized by PAIH and BioInMed. The meeting was attended by representatives of Polish and American business, scientific and investor communities and public administration. The event was organized in cooperation with the European Commission and the European Innovation Council.
“Polish medical biotechnology is a relatively young, but fast-growing sector that can compete with companies from around the world with its technological solutions. We have better and better know-how and more and more advanced R&D projects, including the drug discovery and drug development, new biotechnological diagnostic methods, but also technologies supporting R&D, such as AI or machine learning. What we really need at this stage is international promotion, establishing relations with foreign partners and making our achievements credible. This is especially important in the US market, which is crucial for this sector. That is why I am glad that BioInMed could be part of the initiative of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Boston.” – emphasizes Marta Winiarska, president of BioInMed.
